The Bethea-Welch VFW Post 7248 Ladies Auxiliary Collection documents the day-to-day business of the club and contains lists of officers, events, meeting notes, minutes, and programs, printed materials, awards, and officer lists. Of particular note are photographs and scrapbooks documenting Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) events.

The records consist of trustee minutes, programs, advertisements, press releases, clippings, biographical files, promotional materials, and scrapbooks regarding the promotion and administration of the National Ballet. The collection also contains musical scores, hanging plots, stage directions, board studies, set designs, videotapes, audiotapes, microforms, and photographs which document its artistic work. The records are arranged into 12 series.

Scope and Contents The scrapbooks contain clippings, invitations, programs, memorabilia, handwritten and typewritten letters, ledgers, receipts, meetings minutes, and a few copies of Canteen, the daily record of the National Rifles and an oversized poster for the July 4th Military Celebration in St. Louis, Missouri. Scope and Contents

The materials are primarily meeting minutes of the Women's City Club of Washington, D.C. from 1919 through 1972. Also included are scrapbooks, photographs, clippings, and administrative records which document the Club's founding and activities.
